Have you ever struggled to get out of your frame of mind, and lost peace? This is a poem that depicts such a circumstance.
My happiness is history. I had wings colorful and bright. Out of the blue, I got trapped in a misery jar. Difficult to breathe, I played along as far as I could. I sat with my pain, and Acknowledged its presence.
Watching all my cues and bridges burn, The hues of my world turned greyscale. Too many mood swings stung, Until one repulsed at the way I look. Having sustained the swing, Without a tumble or fall, I dared to escape from the trap, Finding a way what come may! I realized my viewpoint is just One of the views from a million points. The very moment, I see dawn in the yonder. Maybe with it, life starts flourishing again!
❝Let go of your attachment to being right, and suddenly your mind is more open. You’re able to benefit from the unique viewpoints of others, without being crippled by your own judgment.❞
~Ralph Marston
Albeit someone possessing opinions that are contrary to ours, let’s take a look. It costs nothing. Even after doing the little analysis, we’ll always have our final say in how to perceive the situation. Seeing the world from another perspective might solve a lot of problems in any matter of cause including our personal relationships and work.
Cheers!
