Whips that Trip

agin lowering skies

Here, whips denote slender, unbranched shoots, or plants. Agin is the dialect form of against. Lowering means dark and threatening, as if it’s about to rain.


This post is written in response to the ‘Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt by Ronovan. The challenge words for the week are Trip and Whip.
