They say silence is a source of great strength; so can it be for weakness. When words are replaced with silence, not always does it remain pleasant and comfortable. Sometimes, it haunts with loud shudders of the heart. Yeah, silence has a real sound that is capable of turning truths into lies and projecting illusions as realities. It’s exhausting to the core.
There’s work throughout the day and not enough sleep at night. There are words swallowed and peace slain. The deepest feelings begin to unnerve. Why am I enervated? Is it because of the draining days and sleepless nights? Am I following a dream I didn’t choose to? Am I missing something that I can’t hold? Am I fleeing from my own thoughts? Is what I am running from, the one that I should be running towards? The answers are truly blurred.

She wished the clock turned back, to leave those words unsaid, so that their relationship wouldn’t have taken that turn.
His solicitude followed her in all turns of their lives; Both returned back to normal, but that’s a new normal.
The last two tiny tales above can be read collectively or also be treated as individual ones.

As each day ends, I wish I could dive into my chaos energetically rather than drowning pathetically and then watch the movement of water that overpowers me transferring a portion of its energy as our sweet little deal followed by taking a stand against the welcoming winds under the bed of stars preferably boarding over a gently swaying boat that sails over an ambient oceanscape as a lonesome point that is lost in this vast universe born only to find all beauty in the vanishing ripples that reflect the milky white planetoid pumpkin which has mood swings that do not match with mine and afterwards slowly slip into the arms of sleep right in the shimmering open arbour that remains unbarred while listening to the magical stories of umpteen galaxies that hang over and the mellifluous voice of surrounding waves that kiss me good night one by one until that philander with bright dancing rays barges in on my pleasant utopian or sometimes wild dreams forcing me to open my eyes after bulldozing all fantasies written and directed by Nox.

As autumn (season of fall) arrives in one’s life, at times, they (leaves) surrender to the closest cascade (waterfall) silently with no choice, even after which the unfulfilled memories follow the time’s (stream’s) flow to the bed (death) at the end of one’s beautiful life that would have been lived with the desired content and joy (screams).

Have you had a night full of peaceful sleep that your eyelids just refuse to open, in spite of you being inspired with dreams of hope to have a productive day? I just had one such today. At such times, which dreams will you let take flight – the dreams of the night or those of the day? Today, sadly for me, it was the former.
Here are two takes on the same thought; each one is a verse of the poetic form – Naani.
Her eyelids refuse to leave the bed of peace, impeding determined dreams when it's time to take a flight.

If I had all the time in the world, will I have absolutely everything or absolutely nothing?
She designed an open balcony to enjoy sunsets. But, her garden wanted to relish the scenic scape all by itself.
Have you experienced your time which is your favorite escapade from everyday chores, getting eaten away by someone else after having put all the effort in, or have you eaten up someone’s time and efforts accidentally or intentionally? The above tale is written from this perspective.

Cordial Contagions
In this age of cowering Covid contagion, there are these creepy yet cordial contagions – laughter and yawn – which become worse and uncontrollable the harder I try, and that too, always at the wrong times!
Time-Space Complexity
If we had the space to travel across time, would we ever stay in the present?
Here, space implies the personal freedom to live.

“It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one. ”
– George Washington
Why do we make an excuse? Is that really bad?
Most often, it is. Every failure, every lost opportunity, brings in a growth retardant – self-doubt. When self-doubt enters our life, esp. when so much seems at stake, we start making excuses for two reasons:
➟ First, excuses make it easier to live with our failed expectations.
➟ Second, if we fail in a new trial, we already have a reason in hand.
The most common excuse which we come up with is the lack of time. We miss opportunities not because of lacking time but by misperceiving time. To support our arguments, the handiest tools are Continue reading

Breaking the Break
He is here bored of working from home, breaking my break again during my usual nap time, the same human who would usually rush to work without any time to notice me wagging my tail to get some love.

“We must all suffer from one of two pains – the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.
The difference is, discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.”– Jim Rohn
Life always offers choices after it throws opportunities at our faces, and leaves to us to make the decision.
We can spend our time choosing a means that will lead us to the scene with long-lasting change for good or, to the one that gives immediate gratification.
It’s better Continue reading
