In search of my roots

Just around the bend
listening to none
I traverse those depths

Mystic maiden
wears a milky gown
of winter frost

dubious saunter in
deceiving silence sends
delicate shivers

walking barefoot
I deduce a connection
with my unseen roots

Sounds of Silence

They say silence is a source of great strength; so can it be for weakness. When words are replaced with silence, not always does it remain pleasant and comfortable. Sometimes, it haunts with loud shudders of the heart. Yeah, silence has a real sound that is capable of turning truths into lies and projecting illusions as realities. It’s exhausting to the core.

There’s work throughout the day and not enough sleep at night. There are words swallowed and peace slain. The deepest feelings begin to unnerve. Why am I enervated? Is it because of the draining days and sleepless nights? Am I following a dream I didn’t choose to? Am I missing something that I can’t hold? Am I fleeing from my own thoughts? Is what I am running from, the one that I should be running towards? The answers are truly blurred.

Fall

The water falls
With the fallen leaves
Which make no sound
As the season spells fall.

They flow together
As the stream flows
To sink in the bed of beauty
Steered by the scream of streams.

As autumn (season of fall) arrives in one’s life, at times, they (leaves) surrender to the closest cascade (waterfall) silently with no choice, even after which the unfulfilled memories follow the time’s (stream’s) flow to the bed (death) at the end of one’s beautiful life that would have been lived with the desired content and joy (screams).

Sound – Six Word Story #29

These six-word stories that can be read alone or together, imply the creation and destruction phases of a tree. The female persona denotes the tree and the male persona, dependent wildlife.

Her growth, silent!
Her fall, heavy!

These can also be perceived as the thoughts of a father who is worried about his daughter’s unprecedented failures.

Hearing one's thoughts isn't a curse.

At sight, or out of sight...

Explore the ‘SOUND of SILENCE’

An awfully silent weekend! For many of us, silence after a long tiresome week may seem better. But it’s the reverse for me, may be because I happened to be the one & only child of my family. I consider time worthy at most times, only when a lot of people involve, or at least those eye-candies of mine. It all depends on who we are, and where we’ve been. Its some sort of mirror that shows our inner self.

My friends often describe me a funny chatterbox, which few others may find contradictory too! Most cherished Friday after very long gap! Lunch break – only Freak Out hour for day scholars. As you can guess, Continue reading
