Dear heart!
Don’t throb. You miss the warmth. But, I see those lights which illuminate my world from miles away.
Night Sky
Winds of Love
Once, the soft whisper
broke my wings
blew me away
extinguished my flame
left behind pearly teardrops.
Now, it hits even harder but
takes me high
fuels my desires
enkindles the flares
leaving behind fierce feelings.
Sleep Utopia

As each day ends, I wish I could dive into my chaos energetically rather than drowning pathetically and then watch the movement of water that overpowers me transferring a portion of its energy as our sweet little deal followed by taking a stand against the welcoming winds under the bed of stars preferably boarding over a gently swaying boat that sails over an ambient oceanscape as a lonesome point that is lost in this vast universe born only to find all beauty in the vanishing ripples that reflect the milky white planetoid pumpkin which has mood swings that do not match with mine and afterwards slowly slip into the arms of sleep right in the shimmering open arbour that remains unbarred while listening to the magical stories of umpteen galaxies that hang over and the mellifluous voice of surrounding waves that kiss me good night one by one until that philander with bright dancing rays barges in on my pleasant utopian or sometimes wild dreams forcing me to open my eyes after bulldozing all fantasies written and directed by Nox.

her territory

starry sparkling skin
as his caliginous cloak
catapults strings of silver
The tanka pictures the scene of a meteor shower. The territory is that of the planet Earth and the cloak belongs to the sable sky.
The poem can also be conceived as an expression of love, wherein the act of a man who appears hard on the outside (dark cloak) opening up his soft inner self (silvery streaks) to his beloved would illuminate her world that is already sparkling with the bond they share.
Make a Wish

While gazing at stars, he told, “Whatever you wish, it will come true”, as if he was her shooting star.

Twilight
crepuscular rays

musical light show
stellar stars steal the party
as pendulous pearl proceeds
This tanka depicts the twilight scene when crepuscular rays take control of the sky after the sun sets. Alongside the chirping music of birds and the dynamic shades of light rays, stars arrive stealing the show with the moon that appears as a pearl in an unseen pendulum.

Midnight Graffiti

hypnotic beauty

one cold winter night
pulling me to a new world
immersed in her wilderness
This tanka is written from the perspective of an adventurer experiencing Northern lights for the first time. The verse uses this elusive journey as a metaphor for fondness or passion in love.

LINK – Solution to Puzzle – SoCS
Thank you all for your patience! Those who don’t get a hold, kindly read the previous post for better understanding.
Loge – Iapetus – Narvi – Kari
These are the satellites of the planet Saturn. Had you noticed the word ‘satellite’ that was present in the previous post, the ‘connecting link‘ would have been a cakewalk. The hint wasn’t planned to be placed, but a mere coincidence. The word ‘satellite’ didn’t lead me to my line of thoughts. It was just a traceback.
Why did I choose Saturn?
I tried to frame a meaningful acrostic for LINK but couldn’t come up with any (without much planning; that’s a condition for the SoCS prompt). I started the previous post with technical jargon, which included uplinks and downlinks. That gave me the thought of space, and I got inspiration from a recent news article of planets visible to the naked eye. Continue reading
Syzygy
Turning off lights on Earth Hour, I go to the terrace.
I admire the beauty of the full moon, thinking about the billion-year-old firefly that lights it, standing on Earth.
EARTH HOUR
Earth Hour, organized by World Wide Fund for Nature, is a global grassroots movement uniting people to take action on environmental issues and protect the planet. Engaging a massive mainstream community, Earth Hour was famously started as a lights out event in Sydney, Australia in 2007.
It is an annual event held towards the end of March every year when people across the globe turn off their non-essential lights for one hour as a commitment towards a better future.
Yes, it makes a difference.

Syzygy isn’t something that’s related only to astronomy. I browsed to find details on the word’s origin and Continue reading
