The Wait

Wanting to turn the cold winds into a shower, she waited for the storm. That storm, she believed, would take her through a secretive egress that’d clear all clouds. The rhythm in her chest paced up signifying some complicated happiness.

If someone discovers you while yearning to be discovered, the feeling remains etched. Then, waiting wouldn’t be exhausting; it also won’t any longer be only the essence of sadness or loneliness. That was what she felt, a roller-coaster of emotions, that couldn’t easily be put in words.

What if that doesn’t happen at the dawn? Maybe, it’s meant to be at the dusk. The end of the wait will be that vibrant sunset, the best show saved only for the end of the day!

Forest Romance

Getting lost in the infinite connections with tiredness of a feeling that’s both joyful and heavy is scary to imagine. Knitted in mystery that offers me no directions, I manage to get lost in your world even if far. It feels good when, after astray, I see rays of light where I could find you waiting at a home that I feel mine.

‘10 of My Favourite Feelings’ Tag

Crazy Nerds has been nominated for ‘10 of my favourite feelings’ tag, by 3 bloggers – Curious Mind, Shweta and Simon. Thank you all!

About this tag

The tag has its origin from Xandria’s blog. In her own words,

“I think if there’s one thing that this quarantine has taught me it’s that I’ve become so much more appreciative of the simple things in life. I came across a couple YouTube videos called ‘My Favourite Feelings’ and I absolutely loved it.”

The motive of this tag is to reflect the happy little things in our life and appreciate them. Continue reading

‘The Small Joys’ Tag

Phoenix, big thanks to you for tagging me to ‘The Small Joys’ tag. She’s an author, also helping out aspiring writers through her writing clubs. Do check out her blog.

Rules for this tag are simple.

  • Thank the blogger who tagged you.
  • List 15 of your Small Joys. (They can be as weird, random, and silly as you want to make them.)
  • Tag 5 blogger friends who bring you joy (and feel free to say why they bring you joy). Have fun with it!

My 15 Small Joys:

➟ Watching squirrels eat, esp. walnuts. They are very tactful. They climb the tree, come back with a nut, sit in a comfortable position, bang it hard on the wall repeatedly until the shell breaks, and finally taste the nuts inside. Hardworking naughty species!

➟ Beautiful sunset accompanied by the sounds of birds flying back to their nest – It’s a visual feast. Continue reading

Is it okay to be happy during a crisis?

Most of us, who aren’t currently handling public responsibilities, enjoy the quarantine though might be unwilling to admit the same.

In India, it’s been exactly a month today since the lockdown began. At a time when the entire human family is under a crisis, here are my observations on the lockdown being a welcome development in societal behaviour.

Self-analysis and lone time have made a few realise their true interpersonal behaviour. Few introverts have concluded that they aren’t so really, and look for the time when they can get out and socialize. Few extroverts feel their me-time totally impressive, and plan to get back more often. Continue reading
