She wondered if any pawnshop held his nous when he halted 100m prior, dubious about a turn in habitual route.
I was quite late for college one day and missed my college bus at the closest stopping. So, I asked my dad to drop me at a different terminal on time where the same bus will reach shortly. We were just close enough when he switched off the bike’s engine, and asked me, “Should I go straight or take a left here?” in spite of knowing whatsoever route he takes doesn’t make a difference to reach the destination. (Seriously!?)
And yeah, as you can guess, I missed my bus that day.
Sometimes, our grey matter stops its functioning when it’s the most needed.
Inspired by Bulbul’s ‘Twenty-Words Tuesday’ prompt – grey matter.
It happens. 🙂

A comical revival, Anisha! Good one, indeed. More often than not things decide to go missing when we need them the most. 😁🤗🙏
