Today is India’s 74th independence day. It was the headline of the newspapers and a thought crossed my mind on reading it. It’s the 73rd independence anniversary.
Likewise, when we congratulate someone annually for a celebration, we usually address it an anniversary – job achievements, house purchases, wedding anniversaries, or any ‘firsts’ that we’d like to remember.
But, why do we always term the celebration of someone’s birth as the birthday instead of qualifying it as a birth anniversary?

The same topic comes again and again between me and my father… and at last it will end in a fight between us 😀 😀 😀

Silly arguments with fathers often end in a fight. I thought it was only me. Very glad to meet someone similar! 😁
