Gratitude

This is a free verse depicting the life of anyone who has hit the rock bottom but still clinging onto life with hopeful efforts. A six-word story (quoted) is framed at the end.

Sassiness questioned!
Sometimes,
Her reasons are not enough.

Opportunities closed!
Sometimes,
Her effort is not enough.

Baseless arguments!
Sometimes,
Her words are not enough.

Emotionally drained!
Sometimes,
Her confidence is not enough.

Rising difficulties!
Sometimes,
Her finances are not enough.

A sober life!
But everytime,
She has a life!

Life goes on with a smile…

Grateful for the challenges moulding her!

This is in response to ‘The Saturday Six Word Story Prompt’ by Shweta of ‘My Random Ramblings’. The prompt for this week is ‘Gratitude’.

Sometimes the road may get tough,
Sometimes she may want to shrink & cry…
    But she’s complete, she’s enough
& she’s not meant to crawl, she’s born to fly.

I really loved the word play with which you spelt out Sober 🙏✌️

Indeed, even with tough journeys, she’s meant to fly as long and as far as she wants. Thanks a lot for the compliment, Sidharth!
