— Piano —
magical fingers
play harmonious music
for the planet’s good
— Prophesy —
with palmistry’s advent
planets were no more on space
but on one’s fingers
— Space Travel —
gesturing V-sign
he looked at the floating earth
and proclaimed victory
— Death—
fingers intertwined
they exited earth together
to hit more planets
— Love —
lying on the grass
they talked of unseen planets
with fingers clasped tight
— Motherhood —
her little fingers
made mommy forget others
on this large planet

Thanks a lot, Harsh.
I need to ask you something. Is there any major difference between a haiku and a senryu? I read a few on your blog today.

They are mostly same. The main difference is that haiku is usually about the nature, while senryu is about human nature and emotions.

Thank you very much for clarifying, Harsh. Your explanation makes me wonder if these are haiku or senryu. I’ll have to read more on the topic.

I think it’s the lack of awareness and the creative freedom that writers take. That’s why we see haiku not referencing nature.

I agree, Harsh. I was actually confused too when I just had a glance on both the poetry forms. Without proper knowledge, it’s difficult to distinguish between the two.
