My Nominators
Phoenix manages a blog, displaying her writing skills, also motivating and helping other aspiring writers through initiatives of weekly poetry competitions, and a magazine for her blog. “You’ve nominated me in several award categories in the past few weeks. It’s so overwhelming. Thank you Phoenix!”
Era runs a multi-niche blog to motivate people through her words. Her poetry establishes her profession as a doctor. She vividly explains the intricacies and emotions in and around hospitals, in many of her posts. Check her out to get some light from her optimism!
Nabeeha Jameel has a personal blog, in which she shares book reviews, her travel diaries and ramblings from her life. My favourite part of her blog is where she displays her artistic skills. I adore her ‘Mandala arts’.
Penable Award
Rules are here. Phoenix awarded Crazy Nerds with ‘Penable Award’ after reading the post on ‘Haunting Surprise’.
Going by the rule to tell my writing talent, I can visualize things as people, and come up with metaphorical write-ups. I believe I’m also spreading out some light through my words, little tidbits of knowledge and optimism.
My answers to Phoenix:
- If you have a time machine, where would you go back to and why?
To the past, to be with my grandparents! I don’t have memories with them.
- What are the three books from your childhood that you wouldn’t mind reading today?
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, Nancy Drew series, Tinkle Digest volumes.
- Winter or Summer? Why?
Summer. I love bright days. Also, being born and brought up in a very hot place, it’s difficult for me to bear even mild cold.
My nominees:
‘A Blog With Little Bit Of Everything’ Award
Thank you Phoenix and Era for this nomination! Rules are here.
Four facts about myself:
- Indian.
- Engineer.
- No siblings.
- I still read children’s weeklies.
My answers:
- What is your favourite flower?
Roses.
- What is your favourite colour?
Black ♥
- When did you start blogging on WordPress?
January 2016.
- What is your favourite book?
Ponniyin Selvan, Tamil novel.
- What sports do you do?
I’m not into sports. I enjoy cycling and play casual chess.
My nominees:
Mystery Blogger Award

My answers to Era:
- What inspires you every day?
I find motivation from within. In case that’s dripping, even the littlest of things around me inspire me somehow.
- What is your favourite thing to write on your blog?
Recently, writing six word stories has been my favourite.
- What old or new hobby have you done since COVID-19?
Blogging, obviously! My blog was lying dormant for a long time now until recently.
- How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging since Jan 2016. So, that roughly accounts to 4.5 years.
- If you had to choose what will it be 3 tier chocolate cake or 4 dozen chocolate chip cupcakes?
4 dozen chocolate chip cupcakes!
My answers to Phoenix:
- What are your top three pet peeves?
1) Loud noise during a conversation annoys me the most.
2) I hate when I’m called ‘Anish’. By mistake, it’s okay. But, for fun, I really get annoyed.
3) Not getting to eat good food on an already dull day – This is one of the worst feelings. - Who is your favorite fictional character and why?
Repeating the answer from an older award post.’Vallavaraiyan Vandhiyathevan’ – This character is a part of the Tamil five-volume novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, but isn’t purely fictional. It has been built based on a cheiftain in the Chola empire.
Vandhiyathevan is witty, extremely trustworthy, and fun-loving. He flirts to escape, but doesn’t fall prey to the evil female antagonist. Though not designed to be the protagonist of the novel, he appears to be one. He stands with his friends, in their joy, sorrows and even troubles. In short, he is not perfect, but still, admirable and the most relatable character in the novels I’ve read so far.
- What is a place that makes you feel at home?
I can’t come up with a physical location for this. ‘Feel at home’ vibe transpires in many locations, depending on the persons who stay around. A simple answer would be my school. I loved being there.
- Do you believe in Santa 🎅?
It was fun reading stories about Santa Claus as a kid. But now, I don’t think he exists.
- What are your hobbies other than writing?
Listening to songs in regional languages, watching night sky, origami, puzzles!
My nominees:
The Food Award
Thank you Nabeeha! Rules are here.
My answers to Nabeeha:
- Do you like mango?
Of course, I love mangoes. It’s my favourite fruit. I spend quality time with my mango tree. It’s more like a pet.
- Do you like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?
I like peanuts, butter, jelly and sandwiches, separately. But, I haven’t eaten this recipe. Maybe, I’l try cooking it soon.
- How do you like your steak?
Medium rare, tender and juicy with the right flavours.
- What’s your favorite snack to eat on a long car trip?
Chocolates.
-
Do You Like Pepperoni Pizza or Cheese?
Pepperoni.

Update on Crazy Nerds’ Awards
A new page is added to the blog to showcase all the awards and recognition ‘Crazy Nerds’ has received so far in the blogging community. The rules for these nominations are also put up in another page to help our nominees. Have a look, and share your feedback.
My stand on blogger award nominations
Expand to read
I personally feel giving away such online awards to our fellow bloggers leaves a mark of inspiration and joy, in addition to exposing the blog to a whole lot of new readers. It’s a win-win situation for the nominator and nominees as it helps in promotion, as well as reveals a great deal about the blogger as a person to the blogging community.
I don’t prefer receiving an award and let the chain end just with me. So, I’ve nominated a few. However, all bloggers are deserving. So, my list of nominees is conceived open-ended. Anyone coming across this post can feel free to create a ping-back and take up the nomination. Spread joy to your own self and others. 🙂
Cheers!
