It does not know color
It does not know race
It does not know gender
It doesn’t see the face
The heart wants what it wants
It doesn’t see your riches
It doesn’t see your clothesIt doesn’t see your faults
They don’t matter at all
The heart wants what it wants
White or black or blue of blood
Or a damaged childhood
Just a little spark of fire
In the inner pool of desire
The heart wants what it wants
The eyes meet
It skips a beat
Like a summer rain
Trying to stop it is vain
The heart wants what it wants
So amazing!

Well penned✍️ And Anjana, your poetry reminded me of Emile Dickinson’s words, “The Heart wants what it wants – or else it does not care.”
